I searched the forum and Google before - so i'm sorry if i overlooked a post.
I'd be happy, if anybody could give me some hints on how to "correct this error".
If you need any further information - let me know. _________________ cu

Someone else had a similar problem with imlib2 craziness. An "emerge sync" seemed to fix their problems. More details here. |

Hi Fat Bastard,
thanks for your reply. i tried "emerge sync ; emerge media-plugins/kipi-plugins" for several weeks now, but always got the same errors like posted above.
I checked the bugreport and tried the following:
Code: | # emerge sync
# emerge imlib2
# emerge media-plugins/kipi-plugins | = same error like above.
Maybe i was wrong, but i tried an "emerge imlib" too, 'caus i get an error with "imlibiface.o":
Code: | # emerge imlib
# emerge media-plugins/kipi-plugins | = same error like above. _________________ cu

LOL, I think I see where you've gone astray. Put X in your USE flags. Then re-emerge imlib2. The missing symbols in your compile message are X11_BUILD stuff. |

Yeah, it worked. I added X to the USE-Flags again and re-emerged imlib2 and kipi-plugins.
I can't tell you how i got into that, but maybe i got confused by switching from XFree to Xorg. _________________ cu
