I partitioned my drives according to the handbook.
/boot was ext2
reiser partition seemed to work, just not boot. something about a "bad magic number while opening /dev/hda1 the superblock is invalid or does not describe a correct ext2"
I mistaken had ext3 in my /etc/fstab but then changing it in "safe mode" and reboot gave it the same error. _________________ Woof, Woof! Add "[solved]" to the title! Woof, Woof! |

I think I didn't run mk2fs earlier on /dev/hda1
I think I really f'd it up now, I re-ran the mk2fs /dev/hda1 now it won't boot up into Grub. says Error 17.
Is there anyway to remedy this, or am I back to square 1. _________________ Woof, Woof! Add "[solved]" to the title! Woof, Woof! |
