Hello!
My system is in a not-so-good shape atm. Please help.
1) I can't start Xorg: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88030
2) I installed GCC 3.4.4 and can't go back (http://home.c-otto.de/gccerror.txt)
2.1) I have no clue about cross compilers and therefore cannot repair this GCC problem
2.2) There is no GCC precompiled GRP package to my knowledge
Please tell me how to fix this.
Thanks,
Carsten Otto

You dont have to use fPIC everywhere. btw all guys who reported that problem on bugzilla had -fPIC in their cflags and also CXXFLAGS. Maybe it's somehow related to xorg or to some dependencies of xorg. If i were you I'd unmounted my home partition and just reinstalled gentoo from stage3(or if you have plenty of pc time from stage1). It cured lots of problems for me especially the nasty multilib ones. |
