How to be sure kernel is updated?
If I change something in
a) 'etc/make.conf' say change USE flags.
b) change /usr/src/linux/.config _________________ ><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

a) If you change use flags then do 'emerge -puvD --newuse world' that will show you the packeges that will be recompiled with the new use flags and also the updates, including the kernel if needed.
b)If you change anything into your .config then you need to do "make && make install modules_install" into your kernel source directory. Make sure that /boot is mounted before doing that. |
