I just loaded up a dvd in mplayer and it doesnt let me choose options like subtitles and such or wether or not I want the voice over commentary, is there anyway to get to this setup dialogue?
Nvm, I get how to set up languages and go to different chapters and such now through right click but there is still no way to set up that I would like the version with the director and actors commenting over it, (really why I rented the movie the second time: friends said voice over was freakin hilariouse). |

As far as I know, mplayer doesn't support DVD menus yet, if you need menus trying either Ogle or Xine or Totem.
But, if you do
Code: |
mplayer -identify -dvd:// |
It'll print some information about the DVD (how many audio tracks, chapters, angles, subtitles...) then you can choose between them for example, suppose you have a DVD which has both japanese and english audio, and english subtitles, after checking the output of identify, you do something like:
Code: |
mplayer -dvd:// -alang Japanese -slang English
|
if you still need more info post back.
good luck. |

You could always use Xine (IIRC. it supports dvd titles) |
