Hi,

I've recently installed Gentoo on my Dell Inspiron 9100 laptop, and I have the following problem.
Although my touchpad is working, I'd really prefer it if it did not. In Windows, I have it disabled, as I find that I bump it too frequently when I type and this results in my cursor moving. Under gentoo, it seems, also, to be quite sensitive. Does anybody know how to completely disable the touchpad, and, if not, how to de-sensitize it?

Thanks in advance.

PS : Not sure if this is the correct place for this post, but I'm not sure that mouse problems actually fall under "GUI" :-P

I'd suggest you to edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf and delete not needed MouseX section.
