Helo!
I've got a little problem with this great thing called gensplash/splashutils (Big thx to Spock for it!). Recently I have had an old 0.9-rcX version and it worked quite good. However, I decided to upgrade it (both splashutils to 1.1.9.6 and new gentoo-sources to 2.6.11-r9). And with this moment, all my problems started;). Whatever I do (I tryied almost everything that I have found on this forums, Gentoo-Wiki, Spock's site etc.) it always shows output when the INIT starts it's job. CONSOLE=/dev/tty1 kernel parameter, tty:13 splash option, kdgraphics, misc kernel configuration options and stiil nothing (hmm, I shouldn't say nothing, it shows background picture, and even progressbar works, but when it comes to "INIT version 2.84 loading" or something like that, it ruins all and it looks terrible...). And, for sure, I have splash=silent, quiet and others parameters set;)

The second thing, even more anoying, is that the systems "hangs" when it (should) finish loading and switch to X and show kdm. The gpm mouse runs, keyboard input is on, but there's nothing I can do except pressing "The Big Triad";) to reboot... If it would be any hint, this is my hardware: AMD Duron 1.3, Gigabyte KT333 motherboard, 2x256MB DDR333 RAM, HiS Radeon 9550 128b/128MB video card. And the X subsystem - Xorg-6.8.0 with current stable fglrx.

Ugh, before the upgrade most things was working well, but I have seen the LiveCD-2005.0 theme and said: I MUST have it! And so, I have it, with a little bit of extra problems...

P.S. And yet another BUG - ekpd (Epkowa drivers subsystem for Epson printers daemon) fails to find its dependencies, depscan.sh didn't help, and so, when I want to print, I have to start it manually... As far as I remember it should go to the Bugzilla - as the splashutils-guru, Spock, said...
