module help, pls read

Hi everyone!

Im trying to install my soundcard and notice that no sound modules is available in my kernel, Im using genkernel and i can only use the flag "--udev all" otherwise I get block device errors. I want to istall only the cs46xx module into my kernel and I dont know how, cuz if i use the --menuconfig all i can choose my module but then I get this block device error i mentioned.

Any ideas?

Edit: Or can I use "genkernel --udev --menuconfig all" ?

What block device error? Please provide the entire actual error message accurately, otherwise we have to shoot in the dark.
