"su" command not working! I get errror su permiss

Ok, whenever I run command "su" in Gentoo, I get the following error:

(me) $ su
Password:
su: Permission denied
Sorry.

(back to prompt)$


This has never happend to me before, how do I fix this?

add yourself to the wheel group

as root do,

usermod -G wheel,username
