I had some problem after emerge gnome2.2 so i had to reinstall some system packeges but now i can't do su - for logging from user to root and on gnome terminal i have this:bash-2.05b$ <----where is the user?

HI, there is a sticky about several su problems in "Installing Gentoo". Maybe that will help you. CIAO
