I want to install planeshift.

In the downloads section there are files entitled PlaneShift_CBV0.3.010-1.x86.run.

How do I install a .run file?
And will these binarys run on my amd64 box?

You have posted 500+ time and you don't know what to do with a .bin file?!?!

ok what you do it go ./path/to/file.bin and then it should open up a gui installer.

if you have any problems post here

and about the amd64 problem I can't help you there cause I only have a 32 bit system here but I think if you have setup your gentoo install corectly it should be fine.

p.s sorry for the spelling

Ironically enough, you just run .run files :)
Change to the directory where you stored the file.
Make sure the executable bit is set (chmod u+x PlaneShift_CBV0.3.010-1.x86.run)
Then just run it
Code:

./PlaneShift_CBV0.3.010-1.x86.run

As to the 64 bit, I have no idea

Edit: Beaten, just. Oh well, close :)

Planeshift is in portage, so just emerge it. (I'm in the middle of doing so myself.)
