| I'm planning to setup a simple gentoo linux gateway server but don't know whether i should install it under SCSI or SATA? Can somebuddy recommend which method is the best? (i don't know how to setup either in SCSI and SATA, basically which is the most compatible way that gentoo runs on? ) |

| Either should work fine, but SCSI has been around longer so you might get better hardware support with it. SCSI is also faster than SATA. I think it's going to really boil down to kernel support, so you might have a look inside the kernel config for the hardware you are planning to use and see if it's supported. You can also try doing a google search for your hardware and linux support. |

| i see, well straight to the point, in terms of budget wise and availability, SATA is more affordable and easy to get, i guess i have not much choice then thanks for your advice, but i won't give up on searching more info about this, thanks again. |

| is there a gentoo installation guide for install gentoo into SATA in gentoo.org? since here is the official site that provide support over gentoo linux, it should come out an install guide just like othe linux distro does..... can anybuddy show me? |

I don't know of one (but that doesn't mean an official gentoo SATA guide doesn't exist). If you don't find one here, you can find one on http://gentoo-wiki.com
