|
|
Hey all,
I've successfully emerge'd kde onto my box, but something strange has happened. My manual says my laptop monitor is capable of 1280x1024 - which it is. GRUB starts in this resolution as does X fine. However, when kde starts, everything is down to the bottom right corner like ive got it too lower resolution. My kde login dialog for example, is in the bottom right corner.
If it's something in my xorg.conf, could someone please tell me where it is (/etc/xorg.conf?) because i can't find it. _________________ Regards,

It should probably look something like this..
Code: | Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
HorizSync 30-64
VertRefresh 50-120
EndSection
Section "Screen"
Identifier "Default"
Device "ATI"
Monitor "Monitor0"
DefaultDepth 24
Subsection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "1024x768"
ViewPort 0 0
EndSubSection
EndSection |
Modes " " is your resolution default. _________________ Posting for dummies

Not physically possible for me to do that, every xorg.conf is a bit different. Not to mention there are 200 other threads that already have the answer to your original question.
open it up nano or something and do a search for one of those lines, easy. _________________ Posting for dummies |

You don't know where your xorg.conf file is?
You need to take some time out to do some research on this stuff.
/etc/X11/xorg.conf _________________ Posting for dummies |
