|
|
Hi! It seems artsdsp won't work any more in the latest kde release. But before I file a bug, I'd like to have the problem acknowleged by some other users.
I'm using this software:
Code: | firefox-bin-1.0.4
netscape-flash-7.0.25
arts-3.4.1 |
To test, start firefox with
Code: | artsdsp firefox-bin |
and go to http://www.badgerbadgerbadger.com (or some other site with a flash film). Firefox will freeze, but work if you start it without artsdsp.
Anybody else experiencing this?

I have to wait 'til kde4 to get sound again in firefox? Six months without the badger song?!? NOOOOOOOO!!!
P. S.: I know, I know, I can use OSS or ALSA's OSS emulation... it's just that it use to work just fine up until arts-3.4.1... |

I know.... waiting and waiting..... I'm also waiting for xmms2 to be done, the .wal wasabi winamp skinning library (libwal), full 64-bit codec support, full 64-bit support for everything for that matter, and the list goes on. |

I built mozilla-firefox from ebuild and it works fine under artsdsp for me (no sound without artsdsp, so I'm sure it works). I'm also using the netscape-flash plugin.

If you are on AMD64, and want to run a 32bit app with artdsp you are lost (or did they add artsdsp to compatibility libs?) |
