Hi, i use LDAP as an authentication service but when the server is offline for maintanance with no network applied i mentioned that i can't log in with local user accounts, if i plug the server back to his network it works fine again LDAP & local users can log in. Any ideas? THX!

If you use LDAP for authentication then you must have the LDAP server up to authenticate your users. The only way NOT to use LDAP for local authentication (that I know of) is not to use it at all. This requires recompiling your apps to use some other service (typically PAM), which does not require an authentication server.
