Hi, i use LDAP as an authentication service but when the server is offline for maintanance with no network applied i mentioned that i can't log in with local user accounts, if i plug the server back to his network it works fine again LDAP & local users can log in. Any ideas? THX! |

If you use LDAP for authentication then you must have the LDAP server up to authenticate your users. The only way NOT to use LDAP for local authentication (that I know of) is not to use it at all. This requires recompiling your apps to use some other service (typically PAM), which does not require an authentication server. |
