Hi!
I'm thinking of using my home pc from work and that's why I'm installing freenx. Since it seems imposiible to reach my home pc while it is behind NAT, I'll have to get a real IP. So I've got to secure my box. The problem that bothers me now is the fackt I do not trust (not much) computers at my workplace. I want to use one time passwords when I use my computer throgh NX and I want to be able using a standart password when I'm at home. Is this possible??

FreeNX makes its connection through ssh. So all data that goes across your work's LAN will be encrypted. If you feel comfortable connecting to your system (from work) via ssh, then you should feel just as comfortable using FreeNX

Well I was thinking of using passwords for the netowrk here is quite big and quite MS. A lot of trojan and sniffers...
I'm trying to connect to nx testdrive from work today, but I cannot get it to work. As far as I see I get authenticated but I fail on "negotiating link parameters". Detals say:
Code:
NXPROXY - Version 1.4.0

Copyright (C) 2001, 2004 NoMachine.
See http://www.nomachine.com/ for more information.

Info: Proxy running in client mode with pid '707547'.
Info: Waiting for connection from any host on port '1423'.
Info: Aborting procedure due to signal '15'.

Can someone tell me why so??

Are you using the Windows Client?

Can you access your system via ssh from work?

Yes, I'm using the windows client from nomachine.com

I'm experimenting with the nomachine's testdrive since my home pc does not have real ip yet.
I am able connecting to testrive.millenux.com and working there via putty... My other account (on testdrive.nomachine.com) refused me authentication. I'm testing this from my home machine and the result is still the same :(

Strange thing... when connecting to millenux I get this prompt:
Code:
test8625@testdrive.millenux.com's password:

But when connecting to nomachine I'm getting just:
Code:
Password:
