I recently found out about localisation. Now, I installed gentoo and found out about the "userlocales" flag on glibc. Unfortunately, USE-flags are filtered out on bootstrapping. So I learned the following flag from the bootstrap.sh script:
STAGE1_USE="userlocales" scripts/bootstrap.sh --verbose
This way, you can define /etc/locales.build before even bootstrapping, so those unuseful locales won't clutter up your system! |

Setting it in /etc/portage/package.keywords works just fine here. (I finished my bootstrap on a chrooted install about an hour ago.) _________________ ~~ Peter: Programmer, Mathematician, STEM & Free Software Advocate, Enlightened Agent, Transhumanist, Fedora contributor
