I just got a IBM Thinkpad R51, I was concern in maximizing the battery life of my laptop.
I read a few post in how to do it at a software level. However, I was wonderin if some laptop users could give some
guidance in battery tips.
Im wondering if its ok, to use for example half the battery charge, and then plug it to the wall, because what I do is everytime I use the battery I let it go to the minimum charge before I plug it to the wall. _________________ " I'm Fat but at least Im not a Window"

if i recall correctly the manual has a battery life section.
one recommendation was to fully drain the battery every week or 2 (check the manual).
another recommendation is not to overcharge the battery it weakens the battery life. |
