Hi.
About a month ago I gave Ubuntu a try and thus I had to remove Gentoo After a month I realized that the speed of Gentoo is more important than userfriendliness. So did a stage1 install.
I was installing on my laptop so I tried to emerge speedfreq (an excellent program) only to find that ebuild have been masked. What happened to the speedfreq ebuild in this last month or so? As far as I can remember the daemon worked perfectly with no problems.
thanks in advance,

You can unmask this ebuild:
Code: |
echo ">=foo/bar-1.1.1" >> /etc/portage/package.unmask
|
and try emerge now.
btw. I dont found speedfeq in portage.
oh, and once. If this ebuild is in local portage (/usr/local/portage) you can edit this ebuild and in line
change from e.g *- to ~arch (or if you use arch changefrom *- / ~arch to arch)
