Speedfeq masked?

Hi.
About a month ago I gave Ubuntu a try and thus I had to remove Gentoo

After a month I realized that the speed of Gentoo is more important than userfriendliness. So did a stage1 install.
I was installing on my laptop so I tried to emerge speedfreq (an excellent program) only to find that ebuild have been masked. What happened to the speedfreq ebuild in this last month or so? As far as I can remember the daemon worked perfectly with no problems.

You can unmask this ebuild:

Speedfreq has been deprecated because it's not maintained anymore. See here
