Will there ever be a port of gentoo to the Alpha platform? I have a couple of Alpha boxes here that I would like to run Gentoo on.
Also, is Gentoo Linux only? or would it support the Hurd one day?
just dreaming, any replies will be appretiated. |

I also have an Alpha box and I would be soooooo glad to
put Gentoo on it instead of Debian...
If someone can give me some guidelines, I would be glad to begin a port
of Gentoo for Alpha (with some help, I'm not a complete Linux Guru ).
I can begin working on it as from June 20 (got some big work to do for
school before ) _________________ Tell a man there are 300 billion stars in the universe and he'll believe you.

I should be coming into an Alpha PWS 500 sometime soon, and was planning on putting FreeBSD on it. If there is much interest in Gentoo being ported to Alpha's, I wouldnt mind trying to help where I possibly could. |
