|
|
Hi.
I've got the following error while installing adesklets 0.4.9:
Code: | >>> md5 files ;-) adesklets-0.4.9.ebuild
>>> md5 files ;-) ChangeLog
>>> md5 files ;-) metadata.xml
>>> md5 files ;-) files/digest-adesklets-0.4.9
!!! Digest verification Failed:
!!! /usr/portage/distfiles/adesklets-0.4.9.tar.bz2
!!! Reason: Failed on MD5 verification |
Is there a fix? _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...

The usual fix for digest verification failures is to:
- delete the downloaded file (in this case, /usr/portage/distfiles/adesklets-0.4.9.tar.bz2)
- change the place you're downloading from (by editing /etc/make.conf, or, for a one-time fix, putting something like this in front of your emerge command: GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://planetmirror.com/pub/gentoo/")
- re-emerging
A digest failure means the downloaded file does not look like it should -- it's corrupted or different in some way from the original. So you need to get a clean copy from somewhere else. |

Thanks parsim. I'll try that.
EDIT: Worked. Thanks again . _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...
