Installing Gnome 2.10

Hello.

I have been running Gentoo on my notebook since 2005.3 stage was made available. I had no problems at all until Monday. (I have been doing emerge world every few days to keep it up and running).

However I had a HDD crash and I am having problems installing now.

I install everything up to and including xorg-11. Which all works fine.

However when I emerge gnome xscreensaver or just emerge gnome I get big problems. It seems to stop compiling at the same place each time giving me SCROLL LOCKER errors. Looks like it is some time through the evolution package maybe?

Has anyone seen this? I have never had install problems before.

emerge-webrsync should work too yeah? I'm behind a nasty firewall.
