www.wikipedia.org - notice the japanese script underneath English on the left. On my ubuntu setup those fonts are vector-based, and thus anti-alias nicely. If I copy the text and paste it into gedit, as long as I crank the size up it is obvious they are vector-based. However, if I zoom in Firefox/Epiphany/Mozilla Navigator they stay the same height.

Any ideas?

On a sidenote, my system is forcing CJK glyphs to not anti-alias. I have searched my /etc/fonts/fonts.conf and local.conf but I can't find anything that is setting this.

Cheers - Alex
