ragazzi sono quasi alla fine dell'installazione della gentoo, adesso ho sottomano il file lilo.conf e sto cercando di configurarlo al meglo:

delay=50
default=gentoo
image=/boot/kernel-2.6.11-gentoo-r9
label=gentoo

root=/dev/hda3
append="video=vesafb:mtrr,ywrap,1024x768-32@85"
hda=stroke |
lanciando il comando /sbin/lilo
mi da errore in "hda", come se non fosse corretto.
se elimino hda mi dice che il kernel è troppo grande (2.6.11-gentoo-r9)
le partizioni sono settate nel seguente modo:
hda1 > boot
hda2 > swap
hda3 > root
come risolvo il problema? |

sto seguendo la guida ufficiale gentoo e sono a questo punto ---> link
nella guida porta hdx=stroke
non so quanto sia grande il kernel, l'ha scaricato in automatico quando ho dato il comando emerge gentoo-sources
che mi consigli? |

IMHO quello stroke non c'entra nulla con il discorso kernel, infatti secondo la guida:

ergo il tuo kernel risolterebbe grande a prescindere da quell'opzione.
Puoi trascrivere l'esatto messaggio di errore che ottieni?

| ho sostituito lilo con Grub (mi hanno detto che è migliore), ma almomenot ho un piccolo problema anche con grub ---> click here puoi aiutarmi? |
