|
|
Hi all,
Just curios to know if it is possible to .... somehow...save the contents of liveCD ( .iso file ..) on harddisk and possibly boot the system from harddisk itself.
I don't want any other application to run... apart from what can be done from live CD itself. |

The easiest way to do that would be to boot into the livecd and tar the contents to a mounted disk, and then run grub on it. Good luck. |

Boot from the livecd or wherever. Mount a copy of a downloaded .iso (NOT an actual mounted livecd) with "-o loop" and use "rsync -a" to copy the contents to some partiton. Then install grub. |
