I am curious what is up with this message after a failed login
Code: | mybox login: user1
Password:
Login incorrect
This is \n.\0 (\s \m \r) \t |
What is the deal with the bottom line? It is the same regardless of the user account. When I log in successfully of course I don't get that message. |

What your seeing is the contents of /etc/issue, a message given at the command prompt. Your system should be able to interpret the last line to give you a meaning full message, but you can edit it by hand if you'de like something else. |
