|
|
Hi,
I have a system with 4GB of ram that I have gentoo installed on. The problem is that gentoo only see's a small portion of that. Can anyone tell me how to get it to recognize all of it? I have verified that the hardware detects it all at boot, and even does a memory check counting all the memory.
server # free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 883 548 335 0 12 481
-/+ buffers/cache: 55 828
Swap: 2864 2 2862
Thanks
Ben

Is that what the problem is? Or is that just a possible solution? |

Activating the high-mem option in your kernel will solve the issue. |
