In the old handbook there is a warning that premption does not work on ppc. But the 2005.0 handbook does not contain this warning. Does this mean that premption now works on ppc with the latest kernels ?
This ppc user has had success with preemption along with smp. |

I'm not sure why it was omitted from the 2005,0 handbook, but it is back in the present handbook and is in the FAQ. We will continue to say that preempt is broken until it works without SMP, but it does actually work with SMP enabled. _________________ Gentoo PPC FAQ: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-ppc-faq.xml |
