After suspending, syncing my visor caused my computer to freeze. It says here that I need to compile usb as modules and unload them first.

I started by compiling ehci-hcd ohci-hcd and uhci-hcd as modules and loading them, but I couldn't sync anymore. I also tried compiling all the usb stuff (under device drivers -> USB - support) as modules. Same result. Why would I be able to sync with everything compiled in, but not with modules?
