|
|
last week my bcm4306 wlan started doing some very strange things... very starnge things indeed....
in both Windoze and Gentoo, i could recieve an IP and could ping DNS , router, gateway, other machines behind router
but could not ping out to WAN other than DNS? told you it was weird
anyways i was almost convinced that it was the internal card itself gone haywire
untill i noticed a new driver package (OEM of course) dated this month
installed said drivers in Windoze and everything is normal again...
but not so good in linux....
who ever heard of new drivers breaking old ones? do they include firmware in those
self installers maybe?
anyhoo if anyone has similar problems or knows where to grab new windows 64bit drivers
for Ndiswrapper
would be appreciated 4 sho _________________ AMD AthlonXP 2800+

Its looks like I have the same laptop as you? Asus?
I have the same wireless chipset BCM4306 and I'm using ndiswrapper with the below drivers.
You can downloaded them of me here
I will leave them up for the next 24 hours.

well then there is something very fishy going on here cause those are the drivers that WERE
working for me but now are not
like i said a week ago the card was operational in Windoze and in Gentoo
then it started acting up in both (with the above mentioned strangness) and now after a
32bit windoze driver update it works again in windoze
and its a Compaq Presario R3440ca
but same OEM card yes.....
this is very weird..... _________________ AMD AthlonXP 2800+
