|

OK. How do I start. I'm at work.
I have a screen session, right? Then, inside it, I logged in a remote server through ssh. Then I ran a screen session in the remote server, so I could run a command, and leave it running while I detach the remote screen, go home, and reattach it. Thing is, when I hit ctrl+a ctrk+d, it's the local session that gets detached.
Is there a way to solve this, or should it be considered dumb behavior to run screen inside screen? ![Embarassed ](images/smiles/icon_redface.gif) _________________ Proprietary is theft. Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, if he had a chance

In addition to the first C-a, you need to add an "a" for every nested screen session.
But it is a dumb practice to nest screens like this. If you intend to attach to a remote screen session via ssh, that ssh session should not be started in a local screen. |
