i'm sure many of you will want to know _why_. i hate fstab and its absolute naming. it's a bad idea and only seems like a good idea when you never move hardware around...
so i'm attempting to install gentoo on my amd64 box with lvm2 on root.
the guide on, well linked to from, the gentoo site speaks of the glorious 2.3 kernel... searching the forms i found an lvm2initrd script that i can't use. i can't get the file without manually retyping it. gpm fails so no copy & paste.
so i tried another lvm2initrd from last year. it failed looking for /lib/lvm200/lvm which doesn't exist.
no sign of an lvm initrd script from the lvm2 package... _________________ HW problems. It's a VIA thing. |
