How would I go about setting up a microphone? I have a Sound Blaster Audigy and im using OSS. Is there a different driver I have to load for microphone? Ive used mixer to turn up the mic volume and everything but it wont work.
I want to use a microphone for Teamspeak

Just checking, next to turning op the volume for you mic, did you also select your mic as the source for recording?
Normally you don't need another driver, at least I'm not when I'm using Skype. I have to set the volume *and* select the mic as the recording device, which on my system it's not by default.

aumix can do it... use the spacebar on the correct line

(here the console version:)

before
P+++++++++++++0++ Mic

and it look like this when you enabled recoding:
R+++++++++++++0++ Mic

Don't know how it looks with the X version (don't have is compiled so I can't check) but I'm sure it can do it too

R stands for Recording obviously, now linux "knows" what your input device is

same principal applies but any reason you're not using alsa with alsa-oss, oss is very old now.

When I put my mic on recording and turn on the volume, that's the moment I also hear my mic via my boxes, even if I don't have any app running. (But I use alsa though, still I assume it should be the same for OSS) So if that's not the case, I doubt it's a teamspeak probably, but a hardware level problem, or you still have something muted.
