|
|
I have recently emerged and compiled a redhat-sources kernel.
I have an 2.4.19-xfs-r2 installed already and it uses the NVdriver fine.
I emerged nvidia-kernel and glx for the 2.4.19-xfs-r2 install when i originally installed gentoo (months ago).
When booting the redhat kernel it goes fine until trying to load NVdriver, it then bails out and complains about No Screens found etc
Do i have to re-emerge the nvidia kernel and glx files for the redhat-sources kernel?
Thanks

Yes. And before you do, you should make sure, that /usr/src/linux points to the RedHat-Sources and not to the xfs-sources |

You have to emerge that for every kernel, so that the module falls under the right tree
Don't forget to keep the link /usr/src/linux always updated _________________ Lego my ego, and I'll lego your knowledge
