Hi
I hope someone has the answer to this.
I have a Flyvideo3000 TV capture card that uses the saa7134 module, it has a lead coming out of it going to the mic (line in ) on the sound card. I have atteched my cam-corder using the AV wires, so far all is good, I can watch the movies with sound BUT when I go to record them and then later play them back they have no sound.
I don't get it, when I am recording I can hear the sound.
Anyway does anybody have any ideas about this. |

i did a complete reinstall of gentoo after HDD failure claimed my last install. now i get xdtv bombing with the following
Code: | This is xdtv 2.2.0 running on Linux/x86_64 (2.6.12-gentoo-r10).
scandir: No such file or directory
filename = /home/vespira/.xdtv/xdtvrc
wmhooks: netwm detected
X Error of failed request: BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 17 (X_GetAtomName)
Atom id in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 2286
Current serial number in output stream: 2286 |
and nothing else. searched for a match on the forums, found nothing. tried re-emerging and everything else with no change. |

ok, fixed my problem...
the BadAtom message will come up on my box if i do not start xdtv with -nowmhooks
i just started playing with commandline options and got it working through process of elimination..
xdtv -nowmhooks gives no errors, but the program just bombs..
xdtv -nodecoinit -nowmhooks this works perfectly
perhaps it is because i am running enlightenment (E17)
but you are correct.. i attempt to record a movie, using lame as the encoder (installed, 3.96.1-r1) and i get no sound... >.>
