Hi guys,
When iam trying to unpack stage3 it give an error "Cannot load file = not enough space in device". I have resized partitions but still giving same error by unpacking. Can some1 help me please?

Are you sure that your partitions are mounted and that you unpack the tarball in the right directory?
Sounds like you are unpacking into RAM. |

Btw Iam new to linux. Just installed SuSe linux and removed after 10 minutes cuz i dont want to see anything just like windows layout . I hope Gentoo is what i am looking for.

You probably omitted thestep, so you are attempting to unpack the tarball to your RAM, which often fails. _________________ Regards,

Yea i used to unpack stage to (didnt know that it was RAM). I will try to unpack to harddisk.

I made a map "/dev/installx" and tried to unpack it but i get still same problem. I have 11 GB free space. What should i do now? |

Where should i unpack my stage files? I unpacked to /dev/installx but its still saying that the device dont have enough partition after unpacking some files.

you would mount your drive first to /mnt/gentoo, then untar it there. _________________ Come and play in my land |
