For some reason I'm having trouble gettin Gnome to start up automatically. I have gdm in my rc.conf and I edited my ~/.xinitrc file with exec gnome-session. This is the first time I've tried to do it all from memory, so it is probably something really easy or stupid. But if anyone can help me out it would be great.

Try adding DISPLAYMANAGER to "gdm" in /etc/rc.conf and run (as root): "rc-update add xdm boot".
Then start it by typing /etc/init.d/xdm start.
This is how I managed to fix mine :> |
