Hallo zusammen

Auf meinem Board ist ein VIA VT6420 (Sata Raid) Controller. Ich möchte nun mein bestehendes System auf ein Raid 1 System verschieben. Hardware mässig ist das Raid 1 eingerichtet unter dem System sind die zwei Platten nicht als eine zusammengefasst sondern als 2 stück vorhanden. Wie muss ich vorgehen das das ganze funktioniert? Momentan verwerde ich das sata_via Modul. Denn ich möchte lieber kein Software Raid einrichten.

Dann kauf dir einen HW-Raidcontroller z.B. von 3ware oder Intel/ICP. Der Via ist nur ein SW-Raid Controller also kommst du mit dem um ein SW-Raid nicht rum.
