Hi,
I am trying to use VMWare Workstation for the following setup:
My primary OS used to be Gentoo Linux.
I added a second drive with Windows 2000 Server, dual booting, intending to use Windows 2K as primary OS and access Gentoo under VMWare.
I installed VMWare and set up Gentoo as guest operating system on the first HDD. Everything works fine except for the Network card. For some reason the OS doesn't seem to even see it, even though it has been set up in VMWare. I have tried the network card as NAT, Bridged and Host only, yet still the OS cannot see it.
Does anyone have any experience with this or know of any way that I can get my Gentoo to see my network card,
Thanks,
Kevin |

Thanks! That was just the ticket.
I'm also receiving an error on startup when modules are being probed, it fails on w83627hf
As far I can tell this is the serial port... Is there a VMWare module that needs to be loaded to enable gentoo to see this?
Many Thanks for the bienvenido! |
