Depends what you are looking for. I believe the carefully crafted yourself one is the best, especially in a gentoo perspective. Now if you are looking for a ready-to-run solution I don't know, I guess cheapest is best, since they all basically contain the same components. As far as support is concerned I don't really know either, but if you are using gentoo, you don't care that much about brand support do you ? _________________ Momo_CCCP |

id say dell, or build your own, ive had alot more success in gentoo on my homebuilt system because I know everything ive got, which makes things MUCH easier. plus, with the limited support (myself) it makes me learn my system, which is alot easier than listening to someone in tech support who has a very limited vocabulary tell you that they do not offer linux support (AFAIK most large computer manufacturers do not, or only support what they offer) _________________ MAO |
