Hello dudes,
I have an old clipper program in my network, and sometimes some users delete the program files. I would like to know if there is any way to grant permissions to users to read and write, but not to delete files.

Thanks in advance :D

Annihil4tor,

Extended attributes are available with at least ext2, ext3, reiserfs, and xfs filesystems. The xfs filesystem has its own extended attributes, whereas the others require additional kernel options. There is an undeletable attribute, however current versions of ext2, ext3 and reiserfs will not honor it. I do not know if xfs has an undeletable attribute nor whether or not if it works should it exist.
