ok
hi guys
i need some help
can someone either direct me in the right path
or clear up any misconceptions i may have about this topic.
i have a server system,
beautifully running gentoo
very simple samba/file server.
now
this is what i need to do
is there anyway
can i have a "virtual server" system running inside gentoo?
something like for instance...
when u run vmware with xp in it, on gentoo - u can log in via remote desktop to the virtual xp system on vmware
well thats waht iw ant do to
but not xp
all i need is to allow clients, about 5 max really
to log in
and to have an X screen infront of them
maybe fluxbox or whatever
with web browser, file browser and email program
and thats it...
thats all i need
how would i go about doing this people?
EDIT:: i hope this has made sense in reading cos i'v read it over twice now and i'm confused myself
EDIT EDIT::
ok, i think i made an ass of trying to explain that the first time
ok.. the computers that i want to connect to the server
are NOT on the local network
so
i dont think i want lstp, cos its not on the lan?
or can i make computers boot into a remote terminal server?
does this make
sense people _________________ "wa ma tawfiqi illah billah"
