skipping frames in dvd playback[solved]

While playing DVD through KMplayer video gets stuck very few second and some frames are dropped. I think it has to do something with running HAL automounter. If i kill HAL daemon the problem is no longer there. Is there a way to fix this problem wthout killing HAL daemon. Also which is the best programme for DVD playback?

I emerged kaffiene and it works perfectly well for me :-)
