|
|
Hello! I've got an EPIA M-10000 and I've just downloaded and built a standard gentoo-sources kernel.
Now it's time to install Xorg with Unichrome support.
So I'd like to download the sources, patch them and compile it without having to build the whole standard Xorg package first.
Is it possible? How should I do it?
Thank you very much in advance!!

I fought with this unichrome problem for weeks and finally solved it using the Mesa CVS sources -- see here for my sordid story.
I bet -- if you're smarter than me -- you could build all of X.org with the CVS sources rather than restrict it to the DRI stuff like I did. But if you just "emerge xorg-x11" and then use the Mesa sources to replace the important bits, it will work too.
Good luck! |
