When I attempt to run Doom3 under my Gentoo 2005.0 AMD64 box, I get the following message along with the game crashing after 1 second...

For amd64 systems with ati-drivers, two lines have to be added to the launch scripts of doom3.
/usr/games/bin/doom3:

Of course, this is only if you have an ati card using ati-drivers on amd64.
