|
|
i have bought a new winTV PCI-FM tv card (model 747), which uses the cx8800 dri ver, but i have no idea wich tuner and card option it uses.
output of lspci:
Code: | Multimedia video controller: Conexant CX22702 DVB-T 2k/8k
Multimedia controller: Conexant: Unknown device 8811 (rev 05) |
the info on the sticker:
PAL-B/G-I-D/K-SECAM
34519
rev J189
the module loads fine with no options, but when i use tvtime, i get this error:
Code: | videoinput: Can't get tuner info: Invalid argument
videoinput: Can't get tuner audio mode: Invalid argument
videoinput: Can't get tuner info: Invalid argument
videoinput: Can't set tuner audio mode: Invalid argument
videoinput: Tuner present, but our request to change to frequency 301250 failed with this error: Invalid argument |
Is there a way to solve this?
and when the tv card is not yet properly configured, will i be able to configure lirc allready? |

Have a look at this thread https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-353514-highlight-tvtime.html it may provide some help.
If you are not running a very new kernel, its likely that the drivers available at http://linuxtv.org/v4lwiki/index.php/Main_Page will be better at detecting your card. The wiki has some good instructions on it, and is a useful gateway into the v4l development world.
