dosbox & cedega - both get stuck on exec.

hello, recently I have installed dosbox (0.63).
when im executing dosbox from a terminal, the terminal get stuck - goes one line down and i cant exit from it even if using control + c.
when I exit the terminal , the process stays in an uninterruptible mode. the same thing happens exactly with cedega too.
Im using gcc 3.4.4 if it helps in any way
I have no idea what is the problem. there were no compiling errors at all (and cedega is binary...)

any ideas
