Hello all,

My internet/connection is not working. If I type lsmod I get a blank list, and ifconfig shows no eth0. I believe I need to install a module for my network card.

My connection works from the LiveCD. On the livecd lspci shows "Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 13)". lsmod shows a big long list of things and I would prefer to not type it out... if you really need it I will gladly do it however. What module do I need to install and how do I install it?

So how do I go about getting my connection working?

Thanks for the help!

Did you notice if there was an entry for that in your kernel settings? In other words, you may be able to enable that in the kernel or as a module, and th way to do that is to play as though you are recompiling your kernel and look in the Device Drivers->Network Drivers->1000 mb section (that's not EXACTLY it, I don't want to have to do it myself to tell you exactly how to get there) ... is you make it a module, yyou will have to aoto load that module by placing it in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 file...giv eall that a shot and see if you can get it working :)
