Well, working around APM/ACPI on my MSI Neo2 (i865) I've found that APM works when Symmetric milti-processing (and Local APIC support) is off (ACPI seems not work at all). So, the problem is in turning on after shutdown. I meen when system realy "power off" it power on again after a socend or so.. in any combination of options in "APM (Advanced Power Management) BIOS Support". Any ideas ?
P.S. 2.6.11

As the firts problem was fixed..got another. After APM poweroff kernel frizzes while booting near USB subsystem initialazing. The interesting thing is: if enter BIOS after powering on, or jast press reset, kernel boots OK.. |
