|
I just finished my install, AMD64, Sata drive, and Sapphire ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Advantage.
I ran the folllowing commands and got these errors
Emerge xorg-x11 'no errors
Env-update 'no errors
source /etc/profile 'no errors
Made my xorg.conf.new file
then i did
X -config /root/xorg/conf.new ' and i got this error ( or somewhere around here)
(WW) Radeon: No matching device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:0:1) Found
(EE) Radeon: Failed to parse Metamodes or no modes found. MergeFB Mode disabled.
'some other errors about mouse ... cannot open device dev/mouse
Fatal server Error
Failed to initialize Core devices
and then it gave me wiki-xorg.org and wouldnt load.
I also tried...
Video_cards="Radeon" Emerge x11-drm
And
Emerge ati-drivers
and both of these said something about masking (AMD64 Keyword) or something.
Any help as to what to do and how would be very helpful
Thanks in Advance |
